In a comfortable "salon" setting, Dr. Davis will read new and published poems from her work about the migration experiences of Cape Verdean-Americans, rooted in her own life as the child of Cape Verdean-American immigrants. Her poems offer a deeply human, intimate, and poetic look at the "migration crisis" headlines that demonize immigrants and confront us daily.
This event is not open to the general public. Registrations are limited to WACRI members and their guests.
