Malnutrition is still the main cause of death for nearly 1 million children under five each year. It can also lead to life-long physical and cognitive damage in children who survive. In a world where malnutrition is increasingly fueled by conflict and climate change, the numbers can be daunting. However, effective solutions exist and can be used to improve childhood nutrition – one life at a time.
Edesia’s Executive Director, Ms. Kasparian, will discuss the global situation of malnutrition – with particular highlights on Yemen and Chad – and give insight into the power of social enterprise, the effectiveness of global connections, and the overall impact that we can make on the world, all from our own state.
